Gameplay Description, Setting and Synopsis:

Legends say that millennia ago, a generation starship called the Orion arrived in the Frontier Sector. On board the ship were thousands of people from a distant star, seeking a new home as they escape a dying sun. Every retelling of the story varies in many ways, except for one point - the Orion finalised its journey on a planet whose identity and location is long forgotten - a planet that the legends call ... Orion's End.

You have just arrived in the Frontier Sector, a collection of planets scattered among 20 star systems, and have purchased a second hand freighter from a scruffy and disreputable looking pilot. It is with this new ship that an exciting life of adventure amoung the stars is commenced. The player now has the freedom to explore the many planets and meet their people, while making a living doing a variety of possible tasks.

You can trade goods between worlds, deliver parcels or passengers to their destination, mine precious ores in abandoned mineshafts or asteroid fields, hunt down criminals to collect the bounty but it won't be easy.

You may need to face intense space combat while ferrying cargo from system to system, use your blaster to defend yourself from savage aliens while exploring long abandoned space wrecks, or pitch a desperate escape from a band of bounty hunters as they seek retribution for your actions against their faction. There are countless opportunities for adventure.

But, between the adventures you will have some repose. There will be time to enjoy recreational pursuits planet side, decorate your ship's living quarters, forge new friendships or even romances with the many residents. You might come for the adventure, but it's your friends that will make you want to stay.
